hi everybody,

I am from INDIA working in OpenFOAM past 1.5 years at National Aerospace Laboratories on a different projects like flow over aerofoils, wings, full aircraft, cylinders using OpenFOAM 1.4.1, 1.5, 1.6.x for CFD Analysis. Now i want to work on Turbomachinery applications(like centrifugal pump, turbines etc) using OpenFOAM.For this i want to use the GGI Interface application, for this i want to install OpenFOAM 1.5-dev version of OpenFOAM. Can you please suggest me how to install this version and also how to download the svn repository from the sourceforge.net and also i want to know how to register in svn to use and download from this website through command prompt
(svn co https://openfoam-extend.svn.sourceforge.net/
svnroot/openfoam-extend/trunk/Core/OpenFOAM-1.5-dev). If i enter the above mentioned website i am getting the following error at the terminal
svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/svnroot/openfoam-extend/trunk/Core/OpenFOAM-1.5-dev'
svn: PROPFIND of '/svnroot/openfoam-extend/trunk/Core/OpenFOAM-1.5-dev': Could not resolve hostname `openfoam-extend.svn.sourceforge.net': Temporary failure in name resolution(https://openfoam-extend.svn.sourceforge.net).

can you please suggest me where i am going wrong and also explain me how to install OpenFOAM 1.5-dev from initial point.

Hello Naveen,

To me it looks like a problem with the Firewall on your system or on the server which your system uses to access the internet.

If you are using a Proxy server to access the Internet, you need to setup SVN to work with the proxy server...

Have a nice day!

Philippose

Hello Naveen,

In your home directory, you should have a hidden folder called ".subversion"...

Within this folder there should be a file called "servers"

You need to open this file with a text editor, and change the following lines under the [global] section according to your proxy server settings:

# http-proxy-host = defaultproxy.whatever.com
# http-proxy-port = 7000
# http-proxy-username = defaultusername
# http-proxy-password = defaultpassword

(Don't forget to remove the "#" in front of the lines to uncomment them)

Hope this helps!
