I'm working on a simple case that models compression in a cylinder. There is a moving wall whose velocity is read in from a .dat file. I had hoped to use lAR to deal with the mesh deformation, but I can't get it to work. When I run the case there are no errors, etc., the mesh is really coarse just to reduce simulation time to see if lAR is working. The case files are attached, and any help would be greatly appreciated as I've gone over several tutorials but can't see where my mistake is. The geometry is 260mm*25mm*1mm, and the mesh was generated in ANSYS with an element size of 2e-3.
Thanks |

After doing some more research, I found out that layer addition removal will only work with some mesh motion solvers. I found a good resource that goes through dynamic meshing in OpenFOAM http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...AM-rapport.pdf
So if I want to use lAR I have to use changing topology solvers. |
