Hello to all,
My situation: I want to calculate the tutorial case PitzDaily (fig.1) with the Weller bXi-Modell for a comparison with the measurements and another combustion model. The calculations runs, but the results do not correspond to the measurements. I started with an fully turbulent flow (got it from the other combustion model, fig.2) but the flow is going to be to laminar (fig.3) and I do not know why this happens. In the paper [1] by Weller this combustion model seems to work very good in this case. I would be glad to hear from anyone who has experience obtaining successful calculations with this case. Thanks in advance, Christian Approach: - take the tutorial case - map a start solution from a case, calculated with another combustion model - changed boundaries like in Tab.1 the complete case can be found here: http://palamedes.fms.uni-rostock.de/...aily3D_bXi.zip [1] Weller, H.G., at al., "APPLICATION OF A FLAME-WRINKLING LES COMBUSTION MODEL TO A TURBULENT MIXING LAYER", Twenty-Seventh Symposium (International) on Combustion/The Combustion Institute |
