Hi all,
In fvModels/fvOptions one can code a ”mass“ source for the multiphaseEulerFoam solver (reactionMultiphaseEulerFoam in older versions). Bc there is no mass/continuity equation solved for and (from what i know) the alpha equations do not have the fvOptions code section it is not possible to manipulate those. There is an option though in fvModels/fvOptions which is called mass source, one can define a mass injection zone and define mass flux, velocity … the field to define is thermo().phasename().rho(). But thats not what i need. The point here is the field to define is the density field for which there is not an equation solved afaik. I used a custom code bc i need to substract mass from one phase and transfer it to the other phase. The field again is the density field. I don‘t know where it is added though and what the physical interpretation of it is bc as already mentioned no equation exists for it. Does anybody know how with defining source/sink for the density field the mass transfer is manipulated? Any hint is much appreciated. |
