Hello FOAMers,
Has anyone had any experience in simulating jet or propeller noise using OpenFOAM? I have read some paper about using LES, URANS and VLES (Lattice Boltzmann based solvers), but they all use non open source solvers. There is already a 2014 thread about Ffowcks Williams aeroacoustics analogies in Openfoam :(FW-H OpenFOAM) Ffowcs-Williams and Hawking Acoustic model for OpenFOAM and a closed course about aeroacoustics in OpenFOAM. If Anyone could send me a material or a github project about I would be very thankful Thanks for your attention! |

Complex online post-processing:
How to implement simple acoustic analogy in OpenFOAM (Sergei Strizhak, Matvey Kraposhin) from 2013 OFWorkshop http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...yKraposhin.tar from program page http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...l?Main=2&sub=1 https://github.com/unicfdlab/libAcoustics libAcoustics - library for far-field noise computation. At current time contains 3 kind of far-field predictions: Curle analogy Ffowcs Williams Hawkings analogy CFD-BEM coupling Nitish Arya: Volume Coupling using preCICE for an AeroAcoustic simulation The present study uses preCICE to couple OpenFOAM and nektar++ for an aeroacoustic application. Initially, the mean velocity, density and pressure from a compressible solver in OpenFOAM are transferred to nektar++. These fields are then used as basefields over which the acoustic perturbations are calculated using APESolver in the nektar++ framework. https://www.precice.org/preCICE2020/ |
