hello,
some results of certain cells in certain time step of an (random) interIsoFoam-application: alpha.water is 0, but U is not 0 e.g. (0 0 -2.31698) thus by assuming that "alpha.water=0" refers to e.g. air (i.e. no water), I wonder if U = e.g. (0 0 -2.31698) namely not U = 0, is logical thank you in advance |

U is not meant to be zero if alpha.water is 0. U is the velocity shared by the mixture of phases, so its value tells you value of whatever composition of mixture you have in a given cell. In this case it would correspond to velocity of air.
