Hi
after running the tutorial for the DTCHull I tried my first own hull to be calculated in 1:1 scale. For that I took the parameters for the blockmesh and toposetdict from DCTHull and scaled in to the parameters from my yacht (L, B, D, H) and also scaled the blockmesh from 6 m Modell to a 100 m Yacht. The result at a speed of 9.18 m/s shows a lot of small wavws generated at the toposetdict boundaries leading to funny waves alongside the hull (please see attached). What can I do to avoid this? Do I have to change the sizes of the water mesh? The same applies when I scale up the DCTHull from 6 m to bigger scale. best Ingenieur5 |

NO IDEAS?
May there be a problem with the stl model? How fine should the mesh be in relation to the mesh defined by toposetdeict an blockmeshdict? |

Hi, I'm a final year student trying to run simulation of my own hull using DTC Hull code as a guide, however i couldn't really "merge" the hull on the domain. Tried to run the codes several times. I wonder if you could help me on that. Thanks a lot.
