Babaji01 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

In order to validate the flow around an airfoil I need to calculate the static pressure coefficient at several locations.
How can I do this within Openfoam, using pressure functions. I don't understand how to set it up correctly.

Thanks!

Yann will become famous soon enough
Hello Lars,

You can use the pressure function object to compute the static pressure coefficient. This will compute a new variable. The exact setup may vary depending on which OpenFOAM branch/version you are using:

Then you can use the probes function object to retrieve the values on the desired locations. Or use the sampling functions to extract it along a line, etc...

Regards,
Yann
