wyldckat, aka Bruno Santos, has decided to hang-up his gloves and reduce his volunteer time supporting the OpenFOAM community. For many years Bruno has spent a lot of time to support users and share his knowledge, always without any thought of himself and always with a very friendly tone.
With more than 10,000 forum posts and the highest reputation of all forum users on CFD Online Bruno is without competition the person who has spent most time to support OpenFOAM users on CFD Online and share his knowledge. We are many who will miss Bruno. We at CFD Online will most certainly miss Bruno. He has been the main administrator for the OpenFOAM forums for a long time, handling both support and more administrative tasks like removing spam. Please join me in thanking Bruno for all the free help he has given to so many users over so many years!! THANK YOU!! We owe you. Good luck in the future Bruno! If you ever need a favor back please do not hesitate to ask. You have a large group of friends here. Best wishes, Jonas |

The OpenFOAM community owes you a lot Bruno, literally. Thank you very much!
I wish you the very best of everything for the rest of your life. You definitely deserved this retirement. Please focus on yourself, be more self-oriented, and enjoy your life. Many many thanks, and good luck!

This type of forum is only as good as the quality and quantity of the content that is contributed ... and you have excelled in both. Thank you so much for all your energy over the years.

Thank you Bruno. I could install and use OpenFOAM because of your guidance and tips. Thanks again for the support you have provided to the community. Without your support, I may not have explored/used OpenFOAM as intensively as I am doing it now.
Best of Luck for your future plans. - Hrushi |

Bruno, your posts have been helpful during my PhD. For so many problems, which I discovered, I found the solution in one of your posts. I've never seen so much effort brought into answers, which are easy understandable and always to the point. Your posts will be helpful for a lot of people for a long time to come.
Thank you very much!!! |

From the bottom of my heart, thank-you, Bruno.
5 years or so ago, I first was asked to use OpenFOAM at the university. I could not believe these numbers flying around on my screen, I had so many questions on what was the machine doing. I can say, once more from the bottom of my heart, you have helped me directly in threads I have posted, as well as so many times I have referred to a thread you answered. Best wishes in life. |

Many thanks to you; really, you've been a huge help for the community.
Helped me many times both directly and indirectly. Remember when we pinned down the coupling-related issue with my solver at 1am? Well that saved the day! Ok maybe not the actual day but the next one and the whole week! I hope you find all the success you can get in your upcoming jurney! |

Thanks for all your contributions! Although I only recently registered here, I have been searching and reading this forum for quite some time now. Whenever I saw a post by you, I had the feeling to be on the right track towards an answer.

Dear Bruno,
I have always been surprised with how one can be that active in a voluntarily ( and possibly non-paid) activity. Actually I am very passionate about knowing your daily lifestyle and how you manage your tasks (share it with us as your last post !). Anyway, I learned a lot from you Bruno. Best, Ali |

Bruno,
Thank you for your work and dedication! Wyldckat truly is a legend in the OpenFOAM community. I've learned a lot from your posts 9 years ago when I started using OpenFOAM and I still learn now. You helped me to solve some issues and I can't count how many time I used your installation tutorials to set up a wide range of OpenFOAM versions on a wide range of systems. Every OpenFOAM user I met knows your name and I often wondered how it was possible for a single human being to be that prolific to the community. I guess I have the answer now, you could do it only at the cost of your own health. I'm sad to learn you decided to take a step back, but I'm happy to know you are doing it to take care of yourself. Nothing is worth sacrificing your health for. I just hope you know how valuable your contributions have been to the whole community. I wish you all the best! Yann |
