Hi All, Any plans to make waves2Foam compatibly with the OpenFOAM-plus version? I see that it compiles well with 3.0.x.

Hi Kevin,

The OpenFoam+ version had slipped my mind. I could consider to try to compile it, however, it will open up Pandora's box for yet another level of cross-version compatibility handling. Consequently, could you come with some arguments for why, support of OpenFoam+ is required?

Kind regards,

Niels

Greetings Niels, and thanks for the reply. Since the plus version is based dominantly on the 3.0 version, I don't expect too much difference for the compatibility with waves2foam. I have done cursory testing in my research group, and we are excited about the LES/DES capabilities in the plus version, as well as the promise for significantly improved scaling of the interFoam-based solvers. If I can get waves2Foam to compile with the plus version, I will do a more serious scaling study with for a ship seakeeping case that is an important benchmark for us. A last argument, the plus version is an important version of the code, and if you can support it, I am sure there will be users that will benefit. I know that we will. Thanks for all that you have done thus far for the marine/ocean/naval community! Kevin
