Solver for gas bubble separation in T-junction

I am doing research on gas bubble separation from the liquid phase in a microchannel T-junction. The dimensions of the microchannels are~1mm. I have some experience with COMSOL, but I'm looking to see if there is an other CFD tool that is better suited for these kind of simulations. What about CFX, is that a good solver for microfluidic multiphase flows? And is there a difference in performance between FEM and FVM solvers in solving these kinds of problems? Thanks in advance for helping me finding the best CFD tool!
