Hi everybody, Glad to hear that turbulence is been solved... but, while I am waiting, I would very much like you to help me on a very simple problem. I have a flat plate transitional test case from which I have kinetic energy data and boundary layer profile at a given station. I want to restart from this station using the two-equation k-e model. I need to specify a profile for e. I would very much appreciate any approach you could think about as I am afraid I have tried so many I cannot write them all down. My flow is in a transitional state and hence is not in equilibrium. Thanks very much in advance. Regards, Javier

(1). You will need to make some assumptions on either the eddy viscosity distribution or the shear stress distribution to back out the epsilon (tke dissipation) distribution. (2). The assumption may be based on similar cases, or equilibrium boundary layer. (3). The problem is: you have something missing.

Thanks for your prompt response. I have shear stress distribution which, coupled with the b/l profile should enable me to calculate e, isn't it? Well...if that's the approach... is not working and I am afraid is due to the sublayer region. Any ideas?
