There seems to be very little usage, phoenics is nothing more than a jazzed up academic code now, no one uses is seriously really..... Would the space not be better used on a CFDesign or similar? Or perhaps consolidate the two into a single forum for all commercial codes (other than the big three)?

No company pays anything for the forums on CFD Online. The Numeca forum is kind of dead, but the Phoenics forum does receive some traffic on and off. In any case these forums are there and they are not taking up space for any other forums or services. As soon as the main forum shows a need for another forum we will consider to open it. Today I see no need for additional forums though. The need I see is perhaps to split up the Fluent forum more.

It would be nice if people dont post software related questions on the Main forum, when there is a separate forum for that software.

Yes, I agree. For the software that have separate forums the questions should preferably be in those forums. However, questions about software that do not have any separate forums must be welcome here on the main forum. As soon as there are too many messages about a certain software it will get its own forum. At leat that is my opinion.

I have gotten more technical support at this website than I do from actual tech support office for the past 5 years. Keep up the good initiative!
