Good morning ztdep,
I realize that this post is a few months old, so I hope I'm not too late here. With out going into too much detail at the moment, I'd recommend installing Windows server 2012 or 2008r2 HPC edition on the headnode. Setting up Microsoft's version of HPC management software is pretty straight forward and free actually if you have the correct server edition. Once you have the head node setup, I believe the other nodes can all run Windows 7 and still be used as compute nodes or workstations nodes. Just remember to setup a domain for your cluster first. I didn't outline everything to do in my response, but I'm sure you'll be able to look up what you need . Hope I've helped. |
