Hi,

Hi have a geometry like this http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/5809/meshiz9.jpg

I meshed the main faces around the profile and i want to mesh the volume using Tet/Hybrid - TGrid... Gambit simply crashes !!

Does anybody knows what's going on and what to do ?

Thanks!!

Cyril

Which version of Gambit? I've had better luck with the stability of Tgrid meshing with V2.3 than with V2.2. That is, meshing operations that caused a crash in V2.2 were ok in V2.3, albeit with a lot of skewness. We've tried V2.4 a few times but as of yet haven't seen differences.

I have Gambit 2.1.6 Does it means that there is no solution than having a new version ??

Is there any trick or anything else I could do to mesh my geometry...?

hi Cyril I assume it is a skewness problem Before Gambit crashes, you should receive a message, which means you have a skewness problem at face number xxx.... Go and observe this face, you should easy solve your problem (In you geometry, you just need to merge some faces) ;o)

Great, I'll try that. Thanks.

P.S: I don't have time to read the message as Gambit crashes quickly..
