set surface monitor as residual

I'm running fluent as a batch file in the background. It seems it will either do all the iterations I specify, or it will end if the residuals converge. My residuals decrease quickly, but depending on my initial guess sometimes the temperature characteristics are still changing. Therefore is there a way I can look at the residual from a surface monitor to determine when the iterations end? How would I do this? How would I set the surface monitor to look at the residaul of itself?

I understand this is the way to set a surface monitor, but under the options of what to monitor I don't see "temp residual".
And I want to set it as a residual so then in my batch run, the run would stop when all the residuals are under a certain value, so essentially I could stop the iterations once my temperature stops changing. Do you know how to do this? thanks |
