Dear members,
I would like to analyse Non-linear motion of Floating circular cylinders of large amplitudes. The cylinder may be of 30m high with 10m dia with 8m wave excursions inside the cylinder. It is like a Oscillating Water Column(OWC. Any details on software for non-linear analysis, non-linear models welcome thanks in advance Dr.K.Thiruvenkatasamy |

The problem is very interesting to study. i think you are aware of 6 DOF modelling in fluent, where we can model rigid body motion( object's motion is driven by pressure force on the object) in a fluid medium. (a perfect example is missile launch from aircraft, seperation study). you can try out this.
