Hi I want to research the particular motion of a solid body in a moving fluid using Fluent dynamic mesh capability. At first i want to give a solid square a constant velocity in (minus x) direction (counterwise of fluid velocity) in a duct (2d) and solve the flow field .I think that i must right a udf to define the constant velocity of square.it is worthful to remember that the case is unsteady. How can i write it and do you have any other suggestion? . I would appreciate any help.
Regards, Alper |

hi,
hope this helps. this is a sample udf which might help u in giving a constant velocity in the x-direction. /*UDF starts*/ #include "udf.h" #include "dynamesh_tools.h" DEFINE_CG_MOTION(test_motion, dt, vel, omega, time, dtime) { /* This will reset the velocity */ NV_S (vel, =, 0.0); /* Translation along x */ vel[0] = 0.5; } /* UDF ends*/ |
