Why energy equation is not solved when simulating adiabatic premixed combustion. Can anyone tell me pp

Because the transport equation for energy (enthalpy, h, from which temp is calculated) is identical to the transport equation for the reaction progress variable (c). So, there is no need to solve for h, it is just a linear function of c.

Can you tell me in detail why it is identical? I woule like to have references on this topic? Also I have some more questions with zimont model if you have experience. PP
