I am working with the bluff body problem. i need to get velocity data at some point behind the bluff body. Can anybody help me how to get data within the domain but away from the bluff body. Thanks in advance for your kind help. sawa |

it's quite helpful. i have an other question: is it possible to get the data at every time interval in one file. Thanks. sawa

Solve -> Monitors -> Surface
Make sure you turn on "write" and define a file name. Monitoring "vertex maximum" or "vertex minimum" should give the same results since it's a point. You can turn on "plot" and it will print an xy plot of the pressure versus time for each time step. This has to be done before iterating. There is no way to recover individual time steps after the fact (well, unless you autosaved the time steps and are willing to go in and get the data at that point manually). Hope this helps, and goodluck, Jason |
