HI,
are you trying to model the entire ramjet including the combustion physics? or simply the inlet with the shock cone? nandu |

Hi,
I am trying to model only the inlet. The flow is a bit complicated from 3 Ma to 0.3 Ma with oblique shocks and normal shocks. Some are as shock trains. Fluent is the market leader especially in Aero industry, but how good is it in solving such wide-range flows? Would you share your experience? Best AE |

Hi,
Simply the inlet should not be a problem using the coupled solver fo fluent. We have had very good success in modelling a wide range of supersonic flow field ranging from Mach 1.5 to M = 5. We'd be glad to help out in any way we can. u can reach me directly at my email (nmenon@mech.wits.ac.za) nandu |
