I want to compute the average heat flux on a surface over time to use it as an input for another simulation (the heat flux changes with position and time in a way that is not predictable with hand calculations).
I know that I can export the last value in time of the heat flux with the 'Profile' option in the BC menu. Is it possible to get the average in time of each point and export it in a similar way? I'm also open to get an output file with the heat flux at every position for each time-step and computing the average with an external script in python or something. How can I tell Fluent to write such file each time-step? |

Enabling data sampling for time statistics. Additionally, check the option to also include wall statistics. There will be new variables for the average that you can export.
