We are working on CFD simulation of PCHE using Ansys Fluent. While , performing this simulation we used periodic boundary condition and nist database REFPROP real gas co2 for obtaining temeprature and pressure dependent fluid properties.
We are getting the above error while performing the simulation. Kindly lookinto this and please advise. The screenshots are attached wih this. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ND...SuATR4z5sqbVWc https://drive.google.com/open?id=1s3...4uymYm2XdJMbwf https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qo...KGgvt2GSR-E6YQ |

Hello!
I'm having a very similar problem. I'm using Fluent and NIST Real Gas Model and this message is popping up in my third time step: REFPROP_error (202) from function: tprho (density) [TPRHO error 202] liquid iteration has not converged for T = 294.96 K, P = 1.7286 MPa, rho (last guess) = 16.628 mol/L, compositions = 1.00000 Based on some quick literature search, it seems that this error occurs when the system falls into the opposite phase that you selected as the real gas phase. For example, my system starts as a liquid, so when the pressure decreases and my system iterations fall into the vapor phase, at that specific moment, I get this error. I guess that your situation is kind of similar. Your system starts as a vapor (bases on your screenshot) and during the iteration process, it tries to calculate properties in the liquid phase, which cannot do it because you may have specified the default phase as liquid. I would like to know your opinion about this idea. I'm very interested in knowing the process you followed to solve this issue. Regards, |

Hello,
I think this may happen because your calculations fall into the liquid phase. As you have specified the vapor phase as the default one (according to your screenshots), the system crashes whenever the iterations are related to the liquid phase. I'm having a very similar issue when using the NIST model. Please let me know how did you overcome it. Thanks! |

Hai,
I couldnt solve the issue till now. We are trying polynomial for temeprature dependent properties now. If anybody solved this issue, please let me know. Thanks Jinoop A N |

Hello
I have the same problem with co2. If you solve the problem, could you help me too? |
