can someone explain what is the difference between run calculation using iterations and time steps?

Dear Adib,
For solving discretized governing equations (i. e. continuity, momentum, energy ...) you need to apply an iterative method. In fact, for steady problems, you can find the solution by iterating while for transient problems you need to use an implicit (or explicit) formulation. It means that you need to iterate in each time step to find the solution in that time and then can advance (in time). |
