I am using Fluent to perform my simulations. I have a simple geometry and using K-e model.
Mesh used is hexahedral mesh. I have checked the mesh quality. Velocity inlet and pressure outlet condition is used. Pressure velocity coupling - simple gradient - least square based 1st order upwind for pressure momentum Reynolds number 30000 and mach no is 0.9 My solution doesn't converges with the default setting. Is it is because I am using hexahedral mesh ? Does it need different numerical settings than tetra mesh ? Last edited by raunakjung; March 9, 2017 at 02:34. |

Not really.
Try a different initial guess. |

Thank you for replying. Does convergence depend upon intial guess ?
