Hi,
I'd like to know whether FLUENT can deal with the reflection and transimission of pressure waves at an interface between air and water. I will describe a simple case as below.
A plane wave propagates in a column of length 0.4m that is comprised of two distinct fluids(air and water), each of length 0.2m. We assume that the fluid is initially at rest, and a pressure pulse is then applied at the upper surface. I've simulated this case with VOF model, But the behavior of pressure waves transmitted into the water phase is unrealistic.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
