Hello!

I want to model an air flow in a duct with a steel grid inside so that I can observe the influence of the grid. I apply a pressure at the inlet and outlet. I modeled the grid with designmodeler. And I made a 2000 mm extrusion of a square that covers the grid, this extrusion represents the fluid. The fluid and the grid are well separated.

When I do a simulation with Fluent, there is absolutely no difference with the case without the grid for the value of the static pressure at the output...

By any chance, have you a suggestion? Maybe I have to do an interface? Or consider the grill as a porous medium?
How I have to do to consider an obstacle against a flow in a duct?

Why don't you set an outflow boundary condition to the outlet to study the grid pressure drop?
If you set inlet and outlet pressures means that you already know what you're searching....

Hello, thanks for your reply.
I have to put an inlet pressure and outlet pressure so that I can observe the evolution of pressure in the duct, especially before and after the grill. But that's okay, I have changed the modelisation of my grill and it's much better.
