good day i need help performing the cfd of this pump on solidworks.. i have tried but cannot get the results to replicate real experimental data (flow and head)... my problem is the outlet pressure always seems to be lower than the inlet pressure.. i will describe the operation of the pump..maybe someone can help or guide me as to what boundary conditions to use.
The project involves the redesign of the small plastic radial impeller of a Resun king2 model pump. I have currently created a model of the pump and original impeller. I am currently trying to validate the cfd model against the physical testing of the pump.. to do this I plan to plot the pump curve from physical experimentation by varying the flow rate and obtaining the resulting head and will do the same for the cfd model and see how it compares. The cfd model is based on the current operation of the pump.. it sits at the bottom of a 3ft pond and recirculates the water back into the pond. I will attach the solidworks parts so u can see the setup. my problem with the cfd model is how do I obtain pump head? Or how do I use the cfd model to plot the pump curve?. U can view the cfd model it has all the info such as boundary conditions etc. .I used. Any other info u may need please let me know. i have attaced some pics of the pump.. i have the models of the impeller and casing.. can anyone pleasse help with this as i am new to CFD. |
