Hello Everyone,
during my SI engine simulation I am getting the error aforementioned in the title. In my last simulation I was running with pressure inlet b.c. but then I changed the inlet b.c. to mass flow (taking values for inlet boundary from mass_avg_flow.out of last simulation results.) The simulation is stuck at 415 CAD. No event is happening at 415 CADs. There was an embedding ending at 415 CAD but I have changed it and there is no effect. In addition to that I am also getting the following error: "get_temp_from_sensible_sie problem found in rank 2 at cell 16029, located at <0.264689, -0.00100001, 0.111208>, in region 1, whose level=9, ii=388, jj=255, kk=305 sie converged: iterations= 2 error= 2.8294e-05 jac= 0" Hint: Region 1 is intake. Please Help! Thanks in advance. Kind Regards, Rajat |

rsoni451,
It is interesting to see the simulation is stuck at 415 CAD when no event is happening. If my understanding is right, the only thing changed is the inlet boundary condition which was pressure BC and now is mass flow rate in terms of the previous simulation. Could you show more details, such as output in logfile after 415 CAD? Since the error message shows the problematic location in "get_temp_from_sensible_sie problem found in rank 2 at cell 16029, located at <0.264689, -0.00100001, 0.111208>", a quick check would be post processing the data and see what is happening at this location? such as temperature is too high there? |

Hi Yjin,
in the attachments you can find the log file and I have checked the temperature in Ensight and the max temp is 337 K in exhaust region. The code keeps iterating but it does not proceed to the next CAD. Please have a look! Kind Regards, Rajat Soni |

Rajat Soni,
Could you send your case (*.in and *.dat files) to support@convergecfd.com? Btw, which version of Converge are you using for this case. Thanks! |

Hi Yijin,
please check your inbox for the case setup files! And I am using version 2.3. Regards, Rajat |
