hi, i not sure is that correct to put here, but i am actually try to determine the rpm of rotor given a particular flow rate and air velocity.
is that possible?and by using what method? thanks for the help. |

Yes, it is possible.
Guess an rpm. Do the simulation. Check whether you too fast or too slow by looking at the torque on the rotor and knowledge of the torque load applied. Adjust the rpm and keep iterating until you get the accuracy you require. |

No problem running a rotor without a stator. If this is what the device is then it works fine. Just make sure you get your inlet and outlet boundary conditions specified correctly with respect to frames of reference.
Either use the CEL torque function or the CFD-Post calculator of get torque of the rotor. |

thanks for help....you really give me some hope to go through the ansys simulation
by the way, for the bladegen, i create and link to cfx.it appear like following graphic. ![]() how to determine the boundaries since so many part? and the hub look gone. left blade only.any solution? thanks |
