My analysis has many gropes, sometimes I have to duplicate another component. The problem is that duplicated component always was set at original one right. How can I set component the location where I want it.

If I understand you correctly, you want to move your components (such as "Mesh" or "CFX") around in your Workbench layout?
Just drag and drop them! You have to do that in line "1" where it says "CFX" or "Mesh" or "TurboGrid", see attachment.

For workbench parameters have a look at the workbench tutorials. They are available on the ANSYS Customer webpage.

Thank you for your answer, But my problem is I want to use the same method in next group simulation. If I did not use duplication, I have to set all parameters one by one again and again in next group. For example, I simulate a tube and different simulation group for different diameter.In CFX setting inlet, outlet, boundary, etc., are same, so what I need do is just duplicated CFX component. But when I duplicated CFX component, It will be put on the original component right. How can I move them?

I described you how to move the components around: drag and drop the components by clicking and holding the "CFX" field. Isn't that what you are asking?

If you don't want to set your configuration in PRE every time for a similar setup, you can save your config as a *.ccl file and load that setup in PRE (load *.ccl). That is described in all the tutorials.

There is a simple solution to your problem if I understand corectly.

The problem is you only have a CFX tree.
Use another tree that includes your geometry. => if you drag and drop (Fluid Flow CFX)=>(figure below) the geometry and mesh will be atached to the same tree.
Than you specify your pipe diameter as a parameter and that is it.
When you will duplicate the tree, geometri and mesh properties
will go with it and you can just change the parameter walue to what you like, than it is just the mater of updating and solving a new tree.
And you ofcourse dont need to make a whole new project just because of this change, you can just drag your geometry into this new tree and delete the conection and old standalone geometry.

i use it all the time, works perfectly . see figure;

Did this answer your question?

another thing:
I dont know why ANSYS people completly renovated and ruined RMS I will probaly open a topic on that one (it was working perfectly why did they do that ?)
I was always using RMS so multiple trees could be solved while I am not at the computer but somehow from ansys 18 and on this is not working enymore any simple solution to thaat?!. :/
