Is it possible to simulate an entire gas turbine engine in CFX without using udf?

your question is general. yes it is possible but it depends on the case.

Can we show the turbine rotating due to the combustion products?

yes it is possible by simulating transient mode.

And there's no need for udf right?

User Define Function you mean?
in simple cases no you don't need, but it depends on your case. |

I want the turbine to rotate due to the impact with the combustion products..

it is possible to model this case, but first you have to know CFD and CFX in general. I recommend to study the tutorial files of the CFX first.

It is possible to simulate the turbine operation but CFX doesn't allow fluid driven motion. So the turbine rotation would not be a result of the combustion products directly.

So which software will be appropriate for my case?

But u just said that it's not possible to show such a thing directly in cfx..

I have tried with a turbine which was rotated directly as a result of the flow. so this case seems similar and I think it would work also.

alirezame - Did you achieve this using an immersed solid approach or a rigid body and moving mesh method?
