Hello!
Is Autodesk Simulation CFD 2013 capable of computing parameters of fluid flow, based only on gravitational pull? So far, after reading ton of manuals, reviewed numerous internet presentations, and conducted few simulations I have come to conclusion that it can’t. The only computation based on gravity is calculation of flow parameters based on heating. Am I correct? My goal is to find not too complex software for simulation of water flow through small hydroelectric plant, so my only input data is gross height of water. Everything else should be computed, flow, velocities, pressure....etc. |

Looks like 2014 is adding free-surface capability which may help if you are looking at open channel flow.
