Hello everyone!
I'm a starter in CFD and I've been studying a few cases in ICEM. At this point, I'm facing a weird problem to which no answers have been found. First, I have the 'tela01' screen, where the meshing is going ok. Then, I select the edge on 'tela02' and it creates the undesired wing projection in 'tela03'. I can't find anything related online, can anyone help me on this matter? Thanks in advance! |

1) Go to the ANSYS Geometry and Meshing forum
2) You need to update the association of the blocking edges with geometrical curves. Or with vertices with points. Or block sides with geometrical surfaces. |

First of all, thanks for the reply! As suggested, I updated the associations of the block and the problem persists...I even made the mesh from zero again, to make sure I didn't miss any step on the process. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks! |

I don't have recent experience with ICEM. I would ask in the other forum. igher change to catch someone else.

A little bit of tip. if the wing having a sharp trailing edge, Y block transformation could be implemented. I haven't mastered the Y block transformation for a wing, I cant do much but that's my suggestion.
As for the misrepresentation, you don't need to start over with the blocking and mesh again. you can see edges association by blocking > edge > right click > show association. Then disassociate the wrong edge and associate it with the right one. Best Regards Lucky |

Thanks for your reply. I tried checking the associations and everything seemed normal, therefore, I tried to make the mesh again, just to be sure of the process. As for the trailing geometry, it doesn't have a sharp edge I'm really stuck on this, 'cause everything seems normal on the mesh. But I appreciate your help. Thanks a lot! |
