hello,
I'm trying to simulate a solid body flowing inside a pipe. how do i create the geometry in design modeler? I've tried using the freeze and subtract tools but in both cases the body does not move. many thanks for your help! |

What do you mean moving body? If you want to change its position you can use "body operation - translate", if you want to solve the flow field of a moving body, try CFX instead of DM.

I want to create a geometry in which the body will be able to move due to the flow field inside the pipe.. Thanks for the help! Link to image: http://i44.tinypic.com/5ys0ft.jpg |

you need to have a seperate volume around the cylinder and specify it as a rigid body with translatory dof.... u should activate remeshing in the volume outside the rigid body...
