Course in CFD for Vehicle Aerodynamics (LES, DES, PANS, flow control and shape optimization)

A three-day course in "New trends in CFD for external vehicle aerodynamics" will be given at Chalmers, Gothenburg, Sweden, between 28-31 August 2012.

The course will be useful for engineers and PhD students working with CFD in vehicle aerodynamics in industry as well as at universities. The course will cover usage of CFD in both road vehicle aerodynamics and train aerodynamics.

During the lectures we will discuss the theory and during the workshops we will learn how to prepare, run and analyze different time-dependent CFD simulations. Furthermore, Matlab programs will be used for aerodynamic shape optimization. There will be a PC workstation for each participant at the workshops.
