BELLEVUE, WA -- Tecplot, Inc., a developer of data visualization and technical plotting software, today announced the immediate availability of Tecplot 360 2006 Release 2.
Tecplot 360 is the company’s flagship data visualization product. It is complete CFD visualization and post-processing software with extensive XY, 2D and 3D capabilities for engineers visualizing data from analyses, simulations and experiments.
Released the spring of 2006, Tecplot 360 includes new capabilities in four key areas: speed – faster time to first image, loading and animating transient solutions, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) visualization, and one-click exploration tools. These enhancements help give Tecplot 360 users complete control to explore, analyze and communicate their results. Tecplot 360’s flexibility and breadth of features are the key differentiators between it and competing data visualization products, which restrict or limit the options users have to create the exact plot that they want.
Tecplot 360 2006 Release 2 adds support for Intel Mac and is up to 20% faster at loading data than Tecplot 360 2006 Release 1. Additional enhancements include TrueType font support for Mac and updated loaders for ABAQUS 6.6 and CGNS 2.4.5.
"We've had overwhelming interest in Intel Mac support from NASA and several other customers. We are pleased to deliver a version optimized for its capabilities," said Mike Peery, President of Tecplot. "Additionally, we’ve made even more performance gains in Tecplot 360."
Tecplot 360 2006 Release 2 is available for Windows, Linux. Mac OS X and most Unix workstations. Pricing starts at $1,200 in the U.S.A.
