I am glad to announce the first "official" release of the Gerris Flow Solver (GFS 0.1.0). Gerris is an open-source, free-software library and code for the resolution of the three-dimensional partial differential equations describing incompressible fluid flow. Gerris can deal with arbitrarily complex solid boundaries in an automatic manner and uses dynamic adaptive mesh refinement to optimise the discretisation according to the flow solution.
The library can easily be extended through an object-oriented approach and is reasonably well documented.
Gerris is available free of charge under the terms of the Free Software Fundation General Public License (GPL).
