The Fifth International Symposium on Computational Wind Engineering (CWE2010 - www.cwe2010.org) in Chapel Hill, NC, USA, May 23-27, 2010 will facilitate the exchange of the latest scientific and technical information on CFD software, particularly in its application to wind engineering. There will be a Plenary Session entitled “Trends in High Performance Computing for Wind Engineering”, as it may influence the future of computational wind engineering (CWE). A special open technical session will follow for CFD developers of public domain software (both commercial licensed and open-source) for wind engineering applications. This session will provide CFD developers a non-commercial opportunity to answer a set of predefined questions and to present views of the trends in computing and their software. Interested developers should contact CWE2010 chairperson Alan Huber at alan.huber@cwe2010.org and plan to submit an abstract before October 1, 2009.
