Please join us for a complimentary workshop on how Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and modeling of Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) will aid you in the design and optimization of your medical devices.

Regulatory requirements are evolving to increase the use of modeling and simulation. In this workshop, we will show how CFD is successfully applied to increase the reliability of these devices. Various example cases like blood pumps, inhalers, heart valves, vena cava filters and stents will be discussed, with focus on work flow integration and multiphysics (e.g. FSI coupling with Abaqus by SIMULIA).

This event will help if you would like to improve any of the following areas:
  • Conceptual design studies using CFD and FSI.
  • Device design optimization: In vitro and in vivo scenarios to reduce clinical trial times
    • for blood flow
    • and respiratory models
  • CFD for medical diagnostics and analysis.
  • Medical equipment design.
  • Troubleshooting of experimental test setups and equipment.
  • Particle tracing e.g. for clean room or respiratory applications.
  • Understanding how fluid structure interaction (FSI) can work for you.
