We recognize that companies are interested in using simulation to design pumps that perform to specification not only at the Best Efficiency Point (BEP), but also under wide-ranging operating conditions. Such companies know that their customers will not always operate their pumps at the BEP, so the more robust they can make their designs, the better.

These companies also know that simulation can be a cost-efficient way for them to help answer all the numerous ‘What If…?’ questions associated with exploring new and innovative design configurations.

By participating in this webinar, you will obtain an understanding of how you can:

  • Obtain rapid throughput with your CFD flow simulations of centrifugal water pumps – from CAD to mesh to simulation results.
  • Set up and perform automated design space exploration (ADSE), in this case yielding optimized pump performance by considering hundreds of different designs and operating conditions.
  • Leverage process automation to tightly connect STAR- CCM+® for CFD with another code for designing the pump impeller blades (having parametric shapes that can be varied as part of the ADSE and optimization studies). That other code could be a home-grown utility or any of several 3rd-party commercial codes.
