Description:

Director Research of Manipal University has proposed a three
day International Conference on Computational Methods in
Engineering and Health Sciences (ICCMEH-2014) to serve the
purpose of bringing together the computational scientists
and engineers and medical fraternity from various
interdisciplinary domains under a common forum. The theme of
this conference will be broad covering several analytical
and numerical techniques, and novel applications of
computational techniques to solve problems in engineering,
health sciences, and other computational disciplines.

This event will also include a two day pre-conference
workshop to provide an introduction to computational methods
applied in engineering and health sciences domain. The
workshop is aimed to help both academicia and industry in
applying the concepts of computational techniques in solving
variety of interdisciplinary problems. Both the days will
include parallel sessions on theoretical and practical
aspects of the various areas of interdisciplinary research.
The first day of workshop will focus on briefing various
computational methods applied to solve standard problems and
second day will emphasize on advanced techniques adopted in
several case studies such as,

Engineering Track:
•	Computational fracture mechanics.
•	Application of FEM to heat exchangers and
optimization of micro compact heat exchangers.
•	Cooling of Electronic equipment.

Health Science Track:
•	Nasal Flows
•	Dental Implants
•	Cardiovascular flows and heart valve
•	Biomechanics of knee and hip joint
