Principal Investigator (Name: Prof. Krishnendu Sinha), Department of Aerospace 
Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. 

1. Title of Project: IoT-based ventilation of indoor spaces in IIT Bombay campus 
to tackle air pollution and air-borne infection
 
2. Project position(s) and number: Senior / Project Research Scientist – 01 
 
3. Essential Qualification and Experience:  
PhD or MTech/ME or BTech/BE in Aerospace Engineering /Mechanical
Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Environmental science and engineering or 
Equivalent.
MTech/ME with a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience.
BTech/BE with a minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience.

a. Knowledge of fluid dynamics and CFD design and analysis tools.
b. Relevant Industrial Experience.
c. Good communication and writing skills

Desirable:
a. Knowledge of different measuring tools and sensors related to airflow and air
quality.
b. Knowledge of IoT and its application.
c. Candidates with computational and experimental backgrounds will be preferred.
d. Exposure to Data Analysis and Machine learning Models will be preferred

 
4. Job Description
a. Interpretation and analysis of computational/experimental/field measurements,
modeling, and prediction with advanced tools in machine learning and 
implementation using the framework of the Internet of Things.
b. The objective will be to parameterize indoor air quality from the perspective 
of health, comfort, energy, and efficiency, with an eye on technology 
development and sustainability.
c. Compile data from different sources, and compile reports and presentations 
for scientific reports. 

5. Pay Details: Salary ranges from Rs.58800 to Rs 109200 + Rs.10000.00/- Out of
Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.
