The Mechanical Engineering Department (MIE) at the University of Illinois-Chicago 
is actively inviting applications for a motivated Postdoctoral fellow to 
contribute to research in complex fluid mechanics and dynamics.

The position is available for an immediate start and will be open until filled. 

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in fluid mechanics, 
particularly those with hands-on experience in areas ranging from microfluidics to 
large-scale channels/pipes systems. Expertise in technologies like particle image 
velocimetry (PIV) and particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) is highly desirable. 
Proficiency in MATLAB and machine shop experience is advantageous.

We are looking for candidates with exceptional communication and writing skills 
and a successful academic research track record. The postdoctoral fellow should 
possess a Ph.D. in an engineering discipline with strong mechanical design skills. 
Responsibilities include supervising PhD and master's students, collaborating with 
team members, writing reports, and publishing peer-reviewed journal articles.
