We have an opening for a two-year postdoc position with secured funding (one-year extension is also possible), to focus on quantum computing or simulations for fluid dynamics.

[Responsibilities]
1. Develop quantum computing methods for the Navier-Stoke, Boltzmann or Madelung equations or other derivative systems that are related to fluid dynamics (major)
2. Assist in mentoring graduate research assistants. (minor)

[Required Qualifications]
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated early career researcher who is passionate about contributing to applying quantum computing to engineering fields with practical impacts.
1. The candidate should hold a PhD degree in physics, math, engineering, or a closely related field.
2. The candidate is expected to have a solid background in quantum computation and quantum information.
3. Experiences with quantum computing methods for partial differential equations and classical systems (e.g., continuum mechanics) is a major plus.
Please note that expertise in fluid mechanics is NOT a prerequisite.
