Hi Foamers,

I am trying to simulate falling film evaporation of a liquid using a modified form of interPhaseChangeFoam. The current implementation for phase change phenomena is based on pressure. I am trying to implement phase change due to temperature. My questions are as follows:

1.) Does anyone have an idea what the source term for alpha1 would be like i.e. how do you implement mDotAlpha1() for temperature dependence? I would also appreciate references to literature

2.) What is mDotP() and how would this be implemented for this case.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Ovie, this is the just questions I also want to know. We are doing the similar researches. I try to give some comments.

(1) Maybe we can consider the interfacial heat transfer and the latent heat.
(2) For cavitating flow div(U)=(vDotcP-vDotvP)*(p-pSat), so maybe it is not very important for our cases, we can deal with it through "div(U)=source".

I am not sure they are right, please correct me if not.

Best regards,
Chiven
