Hi Foamers,
I am trying to simulate falling film evaporation of a liquid using a modified form of interPhaseChangeFoam. The current implementation for phase change phenomena is based on pressure. I am trying to implement phase change due to temperature. My questions are as follows: 1.) Does anyone have an idea what the source term for alpha1 would be like i.e. how do you implement mDotAlpha1() for temperature dependence? I would also appreciate references to literature 2.) What is mDotP() and how would this be implemented for this case. Thanks in advance for the help. ovie |

Hi Ovie, this is the just questions I also want to know. We are doing the similar researches. I try to give some comments.
(1) Maybe we can consider the interfacial heat transfer and the latent heat. (2) For cavitating flow div(U)=(vDotcP-vDotvP)*(p-pSat), so maybe it is not very important for our cases, we can deal with it through "div(U)=source". I am not sure they are right, please correct me if not. Best regards, Chiven |
