Hi,

The stressComponents postprocessing utility (utilities/postProcessing/stressField/stressComponents.C) provides a Ub vector (x,y,z) mapped on surfaces. But, my surface is a no-slip boundary which should have a velocity at the surface of 0. If this is indeed a velocity vector, at what distance from the surface is it being sampled? How is it calculated?

Thanks very much

Anybody know where to look it up in the code to figure out what the Ub calculated as part of the stressComponents is? It seems to be showing the Bulk Velocity calculated normal to the surface. This would make sense, not very much why it is placed where it is.
