hello
I have a problem with paraview 3.8 provided with openfoam1.7. when I want to display vectors using glyph filter and edit the color map, the whole OS (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS) freezes; keyboard and cursor freezes, too.
This also happens when I am dealing other filters such as stream tracer filter color map edition.
How I can get it out of this situation when it freezes?

Hello Muhammed!

I had exactly the same problem (same OS but OF-1.6.x) and the conclusion was problem with hardware. I think it has to do something with the drivers to the graphic card (is it ATI?).

Now, what I did was basically NOT to update (if already done, "un-update" it) the drivers to the graphic card and everything worked fine.
This can be done by clicking in the ubuntu environment:

'System'-'Administration'-'Hardware Drivers'

DON'T have the driver activated.

sorry for the late response, but the problem was as you said with graphic card driver; I downgraded it and the problem was solved. thank you very much
