Same problem is also discussed here. http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...cylinders.html |

Hello Far
Can you just explain me how to extrude the mesh into a 3D one and necessary changes to the parts and boundary conditions? Please its urgent. I have to meet my project deadline. Thanks |

Hello far
I am trying to extrude the mesh you had uploaded long ago. It can be obtained from http://www.4shared.com/rar/LRL3929E/..._complete.html When I extrude that mesh with 4 layers with a uniform spacing of 1, I am getting error in FLUENT while reading mesh. The error is about the interior circle which you made to capture boundary layer effects with a finer mesh. Kindly please let me know how to make that into 3D mesh as soon as possible. Thanks Mahindra |

Hi,
do you know how to mesh the connection between two cylinders properly when one small cylinder is perpendicular connected to a bigger one at the top/bottom. (picture 1 +2) I always have bad elements where the small cylinder meets the ceiling of the bigger cylinder. (picture 3) Is there a good way to make the connection without these bad elements or are they unavoidable respectively of low importance? kind regards |
