The 3rd International Computational Fluid Dynamics Conference is to be held in London, England, on 6&7th February 2003.
The subject is CFD Technology in Ship Hydrodynamics. CFD 2003 will follow a similar format to CFD 97 and CFD 99, the first two conferences in the series, which were successfully held in Ulsteinvik, Norway.
Within the broad theme, presentations will be divided into three main areas: CFD in relation to hull form, in relation to propellers and other propulsors, and to hull/propulsor interaction. Development of CFD software and the underlying mathematical models and techniques will be covered, as will comparisons between computational predictions, test tank results and full scale data.
In addition to the conference papers, there will be opportunities for delegates to discuss topics of mutual interest, a demonstration workshop for CFD software and a social programme.
This conference is being organised by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects on behalf of Riviera Maritime Media Ltd.
